El Madre (vocals and effects) & Sorin Șega (guitar and effects) bring a Nomad Players concert, a soothing blend of original songs and pieces inspired or reinterpreted from international folklore—a journey through the universal sound space in fusion rock jazz, world music, and sacred sounds.

The duo recently had the honor of performing at Planeta Nucșoara 2024, Smida Jazz Festival 2023, and at Noaptea Muzeelor 2023 in the courtyard of the National Museum “Constantin Brâncuși” in Tg. Jiu. They have also performed at festivals such as Bucharest Photofest 2023, Bazar de Cotroceni 2023, Weekend Sessions 2023, StradArt 2022, and Outernational Virtual Festival 2020, as well as in artistic or independent spaces like art galleries across the country: Celula de Arta, Apollo, ArtHUB, Echoes, Londohome, Zadar Bar, Beat Bar (Bucharest), Convivial (Câmpulung), Wald Caffe (Brașov), Ma HUB (Oradea), Atelier 3/8, and La Caiace (Piatra Neamț), etc.

For those ears and minds that seek a label for the style created by these two… Name it as you will, it’s Love! From doina to reinterpretations of songs in Hebrew, sound improvisations that evoke the gallop of tundra horses, the atmosphere of the Caucasus, the reverberation of Sufi songs, and to mantras that place the effect of sound where it belongs—in the art and technique of working with sound as a tool for tuning the soul.

El Madre (Andreea Tincea) is the voice behind several music projects that share the same fervor and longing (Loungerie II – fusion punk jazz, Cats in the Rain – jazz, lounge and magic, El Madre – world music, Abator Industries – contemporary improvised music, and other projects). The essence of this musical persona called El Madre is the Unity of Opposites and, with due respect, follows the values of a philosophia perennis that circulates through all the cultures of human civilization, flourishing in every creative and expressive form.

Sorin Sega (guitar) has been part of projects like Bass Turbat and Four of a Kind [ro]. He accompanies and complements El Madre’s voice with ethereal sounds and rhythms that echo the simplicity and universal style of Order and Harmony, translated into fusion-rock pieces, world music, and spiritual music.
