Michaela Pospíšilová Králová, In Between the Time
These collages came about as a consequence of my natural need to deal with accumulated memories, and therefore photographs, after several family members had passed away. I went through hundreds of photographs and found a surprising number of similar topics, situations and poses. In the resulting collages, people of different generations photographed at about the same age are allowed to come together in an impossible and unreal meeting in between the time.
People´s faces, gestures, and basic life paths repeat themselves for generations, whether we see it as something hopeless or natural.
