The project “If… you can imagine” starts from Rudyard Kipling’s poem “If” and proposes to the viewer photographs/images from the personal portfolio that correspond to this poem.
“If” is a very relevant poem about what can happen in life, about ups and downs, about failures and comebacks, how to receive and overcome doubts while remaining ourselves. Thus, the project fits within the theme of this year’s festival: Resilience.
The title of the exhibition is derived from the title of the poem and is in the style of Kipling’s verses, continuing in a sort of series of “if” statements, but this time transitioning into the realm of photography by referring to image/imagination.
The exhibition will also feature a large print or projection of the poem “If” to be read, assisting visitors with the challenge below. And/or a QR code that opens the poem on a landing page.
Challenge for visitors: to find one or two photographs they like within the lines of the poem “If.”
