Alex Zoboli, born in 1990 in Guastalla, Italy, and shortly after moved to London with his family before returning to Milan a few years later. He furthered his education at the University of Southampton and pursued photography at the Istituto di Fotografia Italiana in Milan.
For four years, Alex worked as an assistant to Alex Majoli, refining his skills and gaining a deeper understanding of the connection between photography and society. In 2019 he became a full member of Cesura, a photography collective with a strong focus on social documentation.
Alex’s projects underscore his dedication to documenting a wide array of social challenges faced by various communities. In the UK, he focuses on the struggles of marginalized groups, shedding light on the systemic issues that contribute to their disenfranchisement and advocating for their visibility and rights. His work in Italy addresses the acute housing crisis, capturing the lived experiences of those affected by housing shortages, evictions, and inadequate living conditions.
